A lot of people seem to have trouble reading the Viper's tach. People claim their car idles at 400 RPM, when really it's closer to 750. They don't seem to notice the very first mark on the tach after zero is the 500 RPM mark. Here, displaying my awesome MS Paint skills, is how the tach ticks read.
